I have been licensed to practice law since May 1, 2012. Throughout my career, I have devoted roughly 50% of my practice to business and contract law and the other 50% to other areas of law, such as personal injury, discrimination, family law, and property law.

Since May 1, 2012, I have earned the position as general counsel for numerous businesses, most of which hired me based on recommendations from current clients. As general counsel I have dealt with issues including, but not limited to: giving legal advice to board of directors; advising upper management on issues of liability; advising human resource departments on issues of family law that arise in the workplace; advising management on issues of employee discipline; workers compensation claims; unemployment claims; initiating and defending lawsuits; preparing and defending contracts; and preparing legal memorandums.

Prior to beginning law school, I knew that I wanted to own a law practice sooner rather than later. With that end-game in mind, I knew I would have to be proficient at legal research. Therefore, I took numerous classes throughout law school that focused on in-depth legal research. Those classes taught me that while experience is valuable, the ability to conduct in-depth and extensive legal research is invaluable.

I have a deep-rooted investment in this community and Wyoming. Not only did I attend elementary, middle and high school in Wyoming, I also have three young daughters that are born and being raised in Wyoming. Although I had opportunities to advance my career in other locations throughout the country, I chose to return to Sweetwater County to provide my services and give back to the community in which I was born and raised.
